Zack Davis    

Rhythm Guitar/Vocals  

Zack Davis as Zac Brown has been playing music across the Midwest for over 10 years. Whether it’s his own music or other tribute bands he’s a part of (Two Step: A Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Acoustic Tribute and Umph Love: An All-Star Tribute to Umphrey’s McGee), Zack brings the authentic sound of the lead singers you love to sing along with. Zack is 30 years old and he lives and works in Morton, IL alongside his wife, Ericka Davis.


Chris Tarpley    

Keys/ Lead Vocals  

Chris Tarpley is Peoria, Illinois’ own, self-proclaimed Piano Man.  He has been performing and composing music for well over a decade and brings his expertise to this Zac Brown experience.  Along with Whiskey’s Gone, Chris performs with his original band, Ridge Racer (Experimental/Live Electronica)


Bob Mayo 

Lead Guitar/Vocals    

Bob Mayo began learning guitar at the age of 12 and has had music play a major part (pun intended) in his life ever since.  Bob studied classical guitar at Columbia College, and privately in Europe.  In 2015 he began pursuing studio work professionally as an audio and mixing engineer/producer.  Outside of music he enjoys cooking, traveling and home DIY projects.  He resides in Morton, IL with his wife and 3 daughters.


Brandon Mooberry

Bass/Vocals  

Brandon Mooberry is a bassist, pianist, and composer from the Central Illinois area. He has played upright and electric bass for national Broadway tour dates with Wicked, Spamalot, Mary Poppins, White Christmas, and Billy Elliot. Brandon has also shared the stage with Victor Wooten, Bootsy Collins, Regi Wooten, Felix Pastorius, David ‘Fathead’ Newman (Ray Charles Band), David Hoffman (Ray Charles Band), Eric Krasno (Soulive, 50 Cent producer), Jesus Coomes (Lettuce, Lil Wayne), Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers), Stan Kenton (jazz/funk drumming legend), The Waydown Wanderers, Michael Travis (String Cheese Incident, EOTO), Michael Wollfe (Arsenio Hall show band leader), Jake Cinninger (Umphreys McGee), Heartland Festival Orchestra, Sublime, Marshall Tucker Band, Ray White (Frank Zappa) The Yardbirds, and many others. Brandon is also a dedicated private music educator focused on playing live instead of just in the bedroom. He also has several credits to film and commercial compositions.


Andrew Hertenstein    

Violin/Vocals  

Andrew Hertenstein is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in all things stringed.  For nearly two decades, he’s been honing his live performance skills in every genre from classical to heavy metal in addition to spending time in the studio supporting a variety of projects.  He’s been known to cheers a fan or two between songs and brings his dancing shoes along to every gig. To quote Devil Went Down to Georgia: ‘I told you once you son of a b!tch, I’m the best that’s ever been!’


Douglas Ford    Drums/Percussion  

Douglas S. Ford is a Midwest established drummer/percussionist with national touring/recording experience.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Music/Percussion Performance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business from Illinois State University.  Douglas is currently performing with Aileeah Colgan (Pop Country), Kuh Nives (Ambient Prog), Umph Love (Umphrey’s McGee tribute), and Whiskey’s Gone (Zac Brown tribute).
